Restaurant Pearl Morisette

Jordan Station

This Benchlands gem earned a second Michelin Star in 2025 for its regional excellence, and a Michelin Green Star for its commitment to sustainable gastronomy. Chefs Daniel Hadida’s and Eric Robertson’s ever-changing prix fixe menu features local ingredients at their peak in exquisite French-inspired dishes, paired with Pearl Morrisette’s low-intervention wines (made with as little human intervention as possible) or seasonal juice offerings. The dining room sits atop the winery and offers floor-to-ceiling views of the 42-acre property, which features a regenerative farm (which works to improve soil health and increase biodiversity), bakehouse, vegetable garden and a peach orchard.

Gerry the Giraffe

St. Catharines

Yes, there are giraffes in St. Catharines. Well, there’s one and it happens to be made of metal. Gerry is a local hero with a storied past. He has called the roof of Hudson Welding and Fabricating home for the past few decades (even though the store itself closed in 2020). Locals love Gerry, and you will too. Here’s a fun family road trip from Niagara Falls to Gerry’s rooftop home, with some stops for attractions and snacks along the way.

Whipped Feta

CHZ PLZ

The whipped feta at CHZ PLZ in St. Catharines is a must-try. This isn’t your average dip — the house secret recipe is incredibly smooth, rich and loaded with a unique blend of flavours. It’s served with fresh, warm focaccia bread, making it a perfect starter to share or a delicious treat for yourself. The combination of the light, airy whipped feta and the soft, flavourful bread is an absolute delight. And with a drizzle of local honey, fresh herb oil and a sprinkle of crushed chili, it’s a succulent blend of sweet and savoury.
